Electoral Map Looks Purple According To Experts at Politico and USElectionNews.org

As reported by the site http://uselectionnews.org/, currently the 2012 political election map is changing to purple. It is really an astonishing move for both sides, who traditionally look for specific states for their help.

In fact, according to the results of an investigation of Gallup poll info, published by the highly regarded information magazine Politico, party association or alliance within states in america that elected Obama in Nov 2008 have witnessed a significant change to the center and even into the center right. States which fell into the red or blue, or Republican and Democratic teams, in the last presidential vote currently sway both ways - or find themselves looking purple on the electoral map, this seems to mean that these states are up for grabs by either political party vying for the presidential slot in the 2012 election cycle.

In 2008, 30 out of the 50 states were solidly blue. But, today, a mere 14 states can be considered Democratic-leaning and they're mostly in the Northeastern region. Conversely, in 2008, only 5 states could be called solidly Republican ones. Another 5 states leaned into the red. The majority of these red or red-leaning states are in the West and include Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Alaska, and Kansas.

Now, instead of just focusing special attention to traditional swing states like Florida and Ohio, places like Pennsylvania, which used to be staunchly Democratic, are also on the swing state list. And, as the next twenty or so months that remain between now and voting day 2012, both sides will have to vie not only for the nation’s collective attention, but will also have to pander to the swing-state specific issues that could very well get them elected.
